i dont pet him until he is in the kitchen when i first come home so he doesnt pee on the carpet
i know he is high anxiety and would like to know of any natural cures for the bladder

it only happens for the first few minutes when i get home and stops after he settles down
i know he doesnt know he is doing it although he sees it and avoids it

Hi Kim, happy pee is a common problem, mostly in young energetic dogs. It is behavioral and not medical so I really can't recommend something for bladder leaking. You are absolutely doing the right thing by not petting him until he gets to the kitchen. Maybe you could try going right outside with him and then petting him there. Make your arrival as low key as possible because it is the excitement and attention that trigger the peeing. Hopefully he wil out grow it soon.
A helpful key to behavior modification is to ignore the unwanted and praise the good. So after he pees outside then you could have an big greeting. I hope this helps, good luck!
