Dried Bonito flakes

My cat loves dried bonito flakes, so my husband and I have been giving them to her multiple times per day. It just dawned on us that even though they are a healthy treat bonito may be very high in mercury. Does anyone know how much is too much to be giving her? Thanks.

Jills, I am not sure how much is too much but there is a cat version of the treat. You could compare the ingredients on your bonito label with that of the cat product and see how much the label on the cat product suggests to give per day. A good rule of thumb with any treat is moderation. Too much of a good thing can upset the GI tract.
