My 24lb Pug needs to lose at least 5 lbs

I just adopted a 3 year old female Pug, my guess is she was sneaking the cats dry food as she's put on some extra weight. I am switching her food to Wellness Super 5 Mix Healthy Weight formula. 1/3 cup twice a day. Short walks twice a day. Couple questions has anyone else had success with this brand of food. Also with dropping a few lbs do you think her wheezing will abate. It's hard to know what sounds are normal for a Pug and whats excessive.

Congratulations on your new addition!  I personally have not used that food but Wellness has an excellent reputation in the vet world.  It's hard to say if the wheezing will go away after she sheds a few pounds.  It may get slightly better, but many Pugs make noise.  You may want to see our article on obesity for more weight loss tips.  Good luck!
