Horrible gas

My Rottweiler has unbelieve gas! Is there anything I can do to help him with this problem. Sometimes it's completely unbearable! Please let me know if anybody has any suggestions! Thanks!

Cami, it really is true, what goes in must come out. More than likely the gas is the result of your dogs diet. All digestive systems are individual and what food agrees with some may not with others. If it really bothers you, you can try a diet change or take a look at what else the dog eats such as treats, chew bones, table scraps or cat food (or poop).
If you decide to make a diet change, take 5 to 7 days to do so. Start mixing the new food in slowly at about 1/4 of the amount and gradually increase over the next week. This will help the dog to get use to the new food with out causing diarrhea.

My Boxer has THE WORST gas (and a lot of it) if I give him rawhide. Could that be it?
Yes, the rawhide can make your dog have more gas than he might normally. You might consider changing to raw marrow bones that take much longer to chew and less to ingest.
