New Dog
Written by WrigleyBoy
When is the best time in the lifespan of an adult dog to get a new puppy? I don't want two "young" dogs but I do want the puppy to learn from the adult (e.g. - where/when to go out)and I certainly don't want the adult to be too old to play with the puppy. Ideas?

It is really tough to know exactly when the right time is to introduce a new pup. Depending on the breed, dogs reach maturity around 2 years of age and middle age around 6. Ideally between these ages would probably be your best bet.
