My Kitten's fallen ill

My kitten's back seems to be kind of paralized. And it has diarrhea, sneezing and wet nose like having cold. Also it has swollen stomach. We took it to a vet and amoxycilin and bicadex was given. Still no progress. Also the kitten's having short breathing and apetite loss, but drinks lot of water and sometimes vomites afterwards. It's so weak now. Please help.....

Denusdil, I am sorry to hear your kitten is so sick.  It sounds like more than one thing could be going on.  The most concerning are the paralysis and short breathing.  The breathing could be a sign of pain as is the apetite loss.  There could be more going on internally due to a trauma (which could explain the paralysis) or some kind of illness or birth defect.

Many kittens are affected with upper respiratory infections which could be the cause of the sneezing.  Also kittens commonly have worms which will cause diarrhea as well as a swollen stomach.  The antibiotics may or may not help depending on if the URI is bacterial or viral in nature.

I would encourage you to return to the vet as soon as possible or seek a second opinion if need be.  Kittens can become dehydrated and go down hill pretty fast.  There may be other diagnostics that could be done to help explain the symptoms such as testing for Feline Leukemia, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, Feline Infectious Peritonitis or an x-ray to look for internal damage.

I have included some links (in blue) with some additional information that may be helpful.  I wish you good luck and I hope your kitty gets better soon!  Please let us know how things are going and if you have any more questions.
