Sandals, the best bet is to try and wash the maggots off with a damp rag. The kitty may have them inside her rectum and it may take a few times of washing to get most of them. Use a little bit of antibacterial soap (or pet shampoo if you have it) and rinse the area well after washing. If there are any open sores, you can apply a little Neosporin or another antibacterial cream (no steroid ingredients). Try and get her to eat and drink as best you can and if she poops in the litter box, scoop right away as there may be more maggots.
If you have other cats, I would highly recommend keeping them separated until after this stray gets a check up by the vet. Also, be sure to wash your hands well after handeling her, if she has an upper respiratory infection, you can pass that to another cat on your hands and clothes.
As far as the discomfort, there are no over the counter pain medicines that are safe for kitties, so just give her all the TLC you have! Best of luck, I hope she feels better and checks out ok!
