Cat Paw Pads

My cat has developed very dry paw pads with dark areas.  Does anyone know what this is or what to do about it?

Sebby, I am not really sure what is going on with your kitty's paws.  Does it look like he walked in something that has irritated his pads and now the pads are shedding?

Sometimes animals will experience pigment changes as they age some.  Like a dog with a black nose may end up with a brown nose after a few years.  As long as your kitty is acting normal, eating, drinking, peeing, pooping and playing the same as always, then you could watch his feet and see if they get worse.  If you think he is not himself, you could take him in to the vet or give them a call and see what they think.  Good luck and let us know what happens.
