Overview
Although all three sizes of Poodles (toys, miniatures and standards) share the same ancestry, they have also been bred in three sizes for a long time. Louis XVI of France had toy poodles and many of the paintings by the Old Masters in the 15 and 1600s show dogs much like today's toy poodles.
