Overview

The All American Mutt, often called a Heinz 57 or a mixed breed, is a crossing of two or more breeds of dogs. Sometimes the genetics can be determined, especially if one of the parent breeds had some very distinct physical characteristics. Sometimes, though, a mixed breed dog is just a dog and his heritage is unknown.
