Bombay
Overview
The Bombay cat is a new breed that originated in Kentucky in the 1950s. The originator crossed American Shorthair cats and Burmese cats to produce a domesticated cat that looked like a wild panther.
Physical characteristics
The eyes are almond-shaped and copper-colored. The head is rounded. The body is slightly longer than tall, and is lean and athletic. The body creates the impression of a wild panther.

Grooming and care
Brush weekly. Clean teeth once a week, especially during kittenhood so the cat becomes accustomed to it. Trim toenails weekly and check the ears, cleaning when needed.

Temperament
These cats are very affectionate and social; they love their people need lots of attention. They are not always good with other cats although they get along with dogs who won't chase them.
